PRNewswire-FirstCall via COMTEX/ -- Santa Cruz County Bank (SCZC:santa cruz cnty bk calif com)SCZC 12.00, +0.74, +6.6%) announced today that Sandi Eason, a veteran of 34 years in the banking industry, will join the Bank as Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer commencing in January 2009.Ms. Eason, who was President and Chief Executive officer of Coast Commercial Bank from 2005 until it was acquired by Wells Fargo Bank in October 2007, brings to Santa Cruz County Bank strategic planning and management experience in all realms of banking, with strength in business and commercial banking.Prior to her tenure at Coast Commercial Bank, Ms. Eason worked for Wells Fargo Bank for 29 years, 15 of which were in Retail Banking and the last 14 years in Business Banking. She was Senior Vice President, Division Manager of the Business Banking Division where she managed the loan production team on the Central Coast and directly managed business and commercial real estate loan production, client acquisition and retention, and credit quality.

During her tenure as President and CEO of Coast Commercial Bank, Ms. Eason was highly involved in the local community, and in 2007, she was recognized by the Aptos Chamber of Commerce as Woman of the Year. Today she remains committed to serving on the following Boards: Second Harvest Food Bank, Sutter Maternity and Surgery Center, Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation and the Living Breath Foundation. Currently, she is Co-Chair of Second Harvest Food Bank's 2008 Holiday Food Drive.
