Paul Holewinski was named as CEO of Bank Midwest, the third-largest bank based in the Kansas City area, and CEO of its holding company, Dickinson Financial Corp.Holewinski succeeds Rick Smalley, 60, who will continue to serve as president of both the bank and its holding company. The change occurred July 1.Holewinski, 40, is the son-in-law of Dickinson Financial Chairwoman Ann Dickinson. He previously served as senior executive vice president and a member of the board for Dickinson Financial Corp.
Holewinski joined the bank in 1997 as a vice president and became executive vice president of commercial banking in 2003. He also has experience as a lawyer in the mergers and acquisitions and corporate finance practice groups of Bryan Cave LLP.“Paul will be an outstanding leader of the bank,” Smalley said in a release. “I have worked with him for 10 years, I have played a role in training him, and I believe he is the right person to lead the organization.
