Ameris Bank recently announced that Tim Powers has joined their team as vice president, business banker for its location at 225 S. Main St. in Moultrie and that Mary Jane Alonzo was named branch manager for its Quitman Highway location in Moultrie.Powers’ new responsibilities will include building and maintaining business banking relationships throughout the Moultrie area. He will work closely with bank president Ronnie Marchant.

“Tim brings a rich history of banking experience to Ameris Bank,” Marchant said. “We’re very excited to welcome him to the team.”Before coming to Ameris Bank, Powers held a vice president position at U.S. Trust and was a private banking relationship manager at Sun Trust Bank. He is a graduate of Auburn University and a certified financial planner.
