Government, through the BVI International Finance Centre (IFC) is intensifying its efforts to demystify financial services.The IFC will this week embark on its GoBVI Financial Services Training which comprises a series of educational workshops targeted at Government departments.Premier Honourable Ralph T. O’Neal, OBE recently announced that the workshops are “intended to educate the staff of key Government departments through cross-training and information sharing.”

Speaking at his recent Ministerial Press Conference the Premier said “it is also intended to demystify the financial services industry.”Explaining the need to demystify the industry, the Premier said “many people have no idea of what actually happens within the financial services industry and many people including civil servants are not aware of the contribution made to the Government’s direct revenue by this industry.”
