Private sector lender Kotak Mahindra Bank on Wednesday launched its first international representative office in Dubai. “Investors based in west Asia can now access information on various investment opportunities available in India through our representative office,” Kotak Mahindra Bank executive vice-chairman and managing director Uday Kotak said. At present, the Kotak Group has overseas presence in New York, London, San Francisco, Mauritius, Bahrain and Singapore. It serves around 65-lakh customers.

Dhanalakshmi Bank on Wednesday said that it has tied up with leading rating agency Crisil to introduce SSI/SME rating for over 500 of its small-and medium-enterprise (SME) customers. “The Dhanalakshmi, Crisil tie up is a part of the renewed focus of Dhanalakshmi Bank on the SME sector,” the bank’s general manager, (credit & operations) PG Jayakumar, said in a statement. “Independent rating by a renowned agency will provide the bank an enhanced analysis of the SMEs under its portfolio.
