Chief executives of major banks will attend the annual meeting of the Asian Development Bank in Uzbekistan in the first week of May to discuss global financial policies, industry officials said yesterday.The list of attending CEOs include Kang Chung-won of Kookmin Bank, Lee Baek-soon of Shinhan Bank, Kim Jung-tae of Hana Bank, Kim Dong-soo of the Export-Import Bank of Korea, Yoon Yong-ro of the Industrial Bank of Korea and Min Euoo-sung from the Korea Development Bank.
As many as 3,000 finance ministers, central bank governors and representatives of media and civil societies are expected at the 43rd Annual Meeting of the ADB in Tashkent, Uzbekistan slated for May 1-4, the bank said.“On the sidelines of the Annual Meeting, the 10 member countries of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations, as well as Japan, the People’s Republic of China and the Republic of Korea, will hold talks,” the bank said.The CEOs plan to stay in the country for as long as a week to enhance investor relations.
