Turkey's Is Bankasi has been working on purchase of a bank in Russia, its director general said on Tuesday.Ersin Ozince, director general of Is Bankasi, told the A.A correspondent that the bank was also working on purchase of banks in Ukraine and Kazakhstan."We attach a great importance to the Balkans as the region offers several opportunities after the global economic crisis," he said.

Is Bank which was opened in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) in 1955 contributed to TRNC's development, he said. Is Bankasi offers retail and commercial banking products and services, such as credit and debit cards, private and commercial loans, savings and checking accounts and money transfers, issuing letters of guarantee, foreign currency and non-cash loans and commercial loan deposit accounts, as well as portfolio management, mutual and pension fund management, international trade finance and securities brokerage.
